Eager to get things back on track I got up a bit early. First off I needed to fill the last few gaps. milliput to the rescue. First the front. then the edges. Masking. Hmm seems tricky. I decided to mask off the holes too. I'll brush the edges later. Now this bit. I'm not sure what it is or why it's clear? It gets painted green in the instructions and I can't find any two prongs on my ref? what I do know is it hinders the tail part fitting so I'll trim down and fit later. so on with the tail, and use of milliput sausage shims. and smoothed ready for a little sanding. This part has guess what? Yes you got it created a step. so out with a milliput sausage aaaand ready for sanding when dry. Next up I had my masking mojo up so. oooh this may take some time. playdough mop top hair shop anyone. at last one bit done. The rest of the house woke up at this point so I need to stop for a while and do some none plastic things. I also need to pick up some Glue from town as my super glue has all dried up while I was away? Madness. Must have been the puffin. Thanks for looking after the place while I was away. I cut my thinnest Tamiya tape into sections then stuck it to the wing. Took. For. I'm planing on pre shading in black then coating in normal thinned Olive drab, removing the masking and spraying with slightly lighter Olive drab, hitting the centre points as I go. first top pre shaded. then the under side. here is a quick shot of the side. looksbrather nice. I need to tidy away dinner and put the kids to bed but before that I couldn't resist a little olive drab test. ooooh exciting! now I know I've not done the little bat wings on the join of the top wing, I'm adding them later out of foil, possibly quiche.
