1/72 Hasegawa B5N2 Kate

Recommended Posts

I completed the Hasegawa 1/72 B6N2 Kate AI-301 from the Akagi with a 6 bomb load out. Not a bad little kit for an older mold. There was some flash that needed to be removed and I used the bombs and tail gun from the Airfix Kate. The base is the 1/72 Japanese Carrier base form Coastal kits.

I like that. I've one of these in stock, it looks like it needs to stay there till my skills can get closer to yours, to my eye, it looks seriously good. :)

Great work and the Hase is a little bit more accurate than the Airfix Kit. i like your paint job, looks realistic to me. Please more of this little Japs. Udo.

Hello Bitzer,

I like the job you've done on the Kate and, as others have said, lovely weathering.  I'm fond of the older Hasegawa and Fujimi kits (even if they lack a bit of detail).

I hadn't heard of the Coastal Kit bases – I'll have to check them out.

Regards,

David
