egalliers
Here are some photos of my recently completed Spirit of St Louis build. Possibly the hardest kit that I have worked on to date. Aftermarket used: Airscale instruments Gaspatch turnbuckles with EZline rigging for control surfaces Scratchbuilt items: Venturi tube Fuselage lift handles spark plugs Pitot tube Door handle Aneometer Periscope Vent tubes on top of wing Heater pipes Modifications: Smoothed fuselage and added all raised detail to the fuselage and empennage. Undercarriage Archer raised detail decals for all fasteners. Finish and Markings: Self made masks to paint all markings Hand burnished `engine turned’ effect on aluminium sheet on the cowls Tamiya AS-12 applied from can.
