SimonL
Here I present my rendition of the Tamiya 1:48 scale Crusader III. I was inspired by Plastix's terrific build in the Made in Britain Group Build (here), and as I had it in the stash I thought why not. It is a purely out of the box build as I have not built an AFV on a larger scale before. It was intended as a quickish build, but then due to a serious of unfortunate events it's taken almost 18 months to finish. That being said, I am very happy with it and am now considering the next step up, a 1:35 Tamiya Matilda. Finished in brush painted Tamiya acrylics, with weathering from water colours and well thinned Italeri acrylics. Build thread can be found here. Thanks for looking, I'd welcome and pointers for future AFV builds.
PlaStix
Hi Simon. Well that has turned out superbly - especially considering it's your first larger AFV build and you have had to take large gaps in the build process. The weathering and rust effects look great. Very well done!! I'm looking forward to your next armour build. Kind regards, Stix
Badder
Inspired by Stix, you're choosing a good mark to aspire to! Nice Crusader you've produced there. Looks good on that simple base. I am going to have to get me one of those... the Crusader, not the base. I dunno if the Italeri kit has been re-tooled, but I built an Italeri Crusader in about 1980. Nowhere near as good as yours! I think you'll find 1/35th an even better scale to work in. Rearguards, Badder
Kris B
You achieved nice colour which make Te model look real. Gentle weathering make it even better.

bull-nut
That's a great looking Crusader @SimonL. Always has been one of my favourite looking tanks. Green is a colour I don't see them I very often, it almost makes me want to get another.
