Antb
Hi guys Whilst waiting for a sprue to arrive from Eduardo I started the 1/48 Airfix specialist spitfire kit. I wasn't keen on the schemes in the box so got some decals for a scheme I liked. Technically the Airfix kit is a Vb and the aircraft I've built is a Vc but it's looks like a Spitfire and as I'm not a rivet counter I can live with it not being completely accurate. Aircraft has been brush painted using Tamiya acrylics. Added some Eduard seatbelts and the decals are from Aeromaster. They settled really well and I'm pleased with how they came out. Washed with Flory Black wash and Humbrol Matt Cote was brushed on. Not going to win any awards but I'm happy with how it's come out in the end. Always grateful for any comments and criticism from you guys. Cheers Now where did I put the sprue for the 110 I'm building next?????

cngaero
That's a very nice looking Spitfire. I really like the weathering, particularly the chipping to the wing root area. Top notch.

Spitfire31
Very nice looking Spitfire! One nitpick, though – it looks like both ailerons are drooping. The thing with ailerons is, when one goes down, the other one goes up, for lateral control… ;-) Apart from that, very good work! Kind regards, Joachim

I had a right job getting them to stick on. They just didn't want to go up so one is sort of level and the other is dropped. Had to make the best of what I could with them. 8 hours ago, stevej60 said: Look's a real winner, great job! 7 hours ago, corsaircorp said: Hello Antb Good looking Spitfire , nice job Thank for sharing.
