Howlindawg
Hi All, Normally I use Mr Hobby or Tamiya Acrylics. I've picked up a few pots of Mr. Metal Color to give them a try. So far I've applied them by brush to very small areas only and have been impressed with the results. However, for airbrushing larger areas I'm wondering Which primer should I use? What cleaner should I use for the airbrush after use? Any need to use a separate airbrush for these to avoid contamination? Any thoughts from the Mr Metal users out there? fewr9fkr9595
I've sprayed metal color over most primers fine, acrylic and lacquer type. I clean with cellulose/lacquer thinners. Keep it well mixed when spraying, the metal bits seperate out fast. I have a brush to stir the cup contents regularly. I have a separate airbrush for metallics. Saves a lot of time having to do a deep clean every use. I always ended up with little flakes in the next paint, could never seem to get rid of them all without a full strip.
Howlindawg
Thanks for that. Think I'll have a look for a basic airbrush that can handle cellulose thinners then.
