vh-bob
Nicely done, a very neat job on what is quite a small model. Love the gold trim , how did the decals perform ?. Trev. (vh-bob)

Love the gold trim , how did the decals perform ?. Trev. (vh-bob) Thanks Trev, The decals performed OK, except I found that Microset had caused some of the gold striping to on the decals dissolve away (port side of forward fuselage affected), so I touched this up with gold paint quite successfully at first. I later found that the gold stripe decal on the port side turned darker and lost its gold colour under the clear coat, which made the gold paint stick out like dog's balls. Fortunately, a mate of mine built the same kit as Winne Mae, so he was able to give me his lady Lindy decals (still yet to be applied to fix things). kapam
Brilliant! I have the MPM kit too, unfinished (I just got distracted by other model projects). Mine will be the Shell Oils corporate transport - but it is daunting to see your build. I have some doubt I could make mine look as good as yours. Excellent work. You may find these constructional steps of interest for your build (the Shell Oil yellow and red scheme is a great choice). greggles.w
For all the trouble it gave you you've achieved a very attractive result, congratulations! It's a great subject. I particularly like the way the wing trailing edge continues straight across the top of the fuselage with that slightly raised lapped detail .. very cool! Thanks, the original's wing was a one-piece plywood skinned design I think, so I guess it made sense to just slap it on to without too much blending in. Most truly 😠 I find if I click on the vandalised image, it opens in a new tab without the vandalism showing. I have a PB Hotlink fix on my computer I got from here, I'm running Chrome as a browser. Truly a beautiful build Mark @Kiwikitbasher Steve.

Stevehnz providesa link above that enables the PB images to be viewd in Chrome. The fresh photos are linked to a post in HyoerScale that uses Tapatalk as a platform which hosts its own images rather than rely on 3rd party image hosts the way Britmmodeller's platforom does.
