Considering the probable age of the aircraft, the service life extension effort must be a literal rebuilding of the entire aircraft. Flyingdutchman Posted June 1, 2017 Share Posted June 1, 2017 They're using old Dutch Orion's. They were just prior to selling updated to new standards. So the Germans made a good deal and we (Dutchies) a very bad one. We now don't have any MARPAT aircraft. Some tasks are done by Dutch Coast Guard (enviromental missions) but real die hard ASW is not possible anymore. Evert Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
