What a progress. Camo is lovely. Decals also looks good, especially that one on the top. How did you done the holes in it? Nothing really to pinch.

Get hold of a bottle of Mr. Mark Softer and Mr. Mark Set. Play around a bit with some old decals and you will be surprised how good these decal liquids are ;)

Looking nice in her new dress Gremlin.

And beat the brown stuff out of the decals too.

Be interesting how the weathering comes out.

Simon.

Thank you Simon, better than "Back in black " isn't it?

The decals are really the pits. I remember buying the Roden Fokker triplane and binning it due to the decals. They are absolutely ghastly.

I will not be going for heavy weathering here. Dirt, dust okay  but not much more than that ;)

The build looks really good, mate.  Sorry you had a nightmare with the decals.  Personally I didn't have any issues.  They weren't thick and went on beautifully. I wonder if the supplier to Meng had been changed since my build.  Either way though you've done great.

Hi Mike, not a nightmare, just c*** decals :D I doubt Meng changed decal suppliers. Thanks for the kind remarks ;)

17/6 update.

First round of weathering: Brown filter overall, pinwash, streaking. Now letting the slug dry before the next round:

18/6 update.

Dirt, more streaks and dust instead of the obligatory mud:
