Resin Russian figures from TANK anyone?

Historex Agents in Dover used to carry them.  Don't know if they still do.  However, you can get the entire range direct from source in Russia here: https://models-hobby.com/

I have dealt with this store many times for Live Resin products (I can't paint figures to save my life, but the Tank figures do look attractive) and have found them - thus far anyway - to be excellent.  No problems with payment, delivery, out of stock etc. I've been lucky enough never to have been rummaged by Customs but that is a risk when buying outside the EU.

If you want to buy within the EU customs border, try Modellbau Koenig http://www.modellbau-koenig.de/ or Der Sockelshop https://www.dersockelshop.de/tank/  These are both in Germany and both carry some of the Tank range.  Again, I have dealt with both several times and found them to be infallible so far.  And no worries about customs duties.

They are widely available on eBay, but mostly from outside the UK.  BNA Modelworld in Australia ( a-modeller on eBay) usually have a good range and other stores do carry some.  But it seems bizarre to contribute to global warming by buying a product made in Russia from a seller in Australia when you're in the UK.  I think the problem with large ranges like this for re-sellers is which ones to choose to stock, whereas Models Hobby are the original source and therefore always have everything, or have the ability to cast more.  Some of them form groups, like the tank riders and motorcycle crews, so you'd need to carry the whole group.

It has been discussed on other forums that Tank use the same sculptor as Masterbox, which may be so.  Whoever he or she is, they're good.  But I wonder if they've changed sculptors as the latest SAS Aden/Oman figures don't look quite as good in photos.  Clearly they still use sculpting rather than 3D CAD and printing for masters.  I just wish I could paint figures.  Never been able to get the blending right.

I mourn the loss of Tank's "A" line of weapons and equipment, many of which were very useful.  The same proprietor had started up Live Resin, but the ranges hardly overlapped.  Ironically I'm currently clearing out of a lot of these that I bought and now realise I'll never use, via eBay.
