cger
Hi, here are a few pics of one of my last builds, a Lagg-3 built essentially from the box from ICM. The only change was lengthening the fuselage by 3mm just after the main radiator exhaust. The paints are Gunze, red stars are airbrushed with masks. Weathering was done with Mig ammo washes, various pigments and ink pens. Hope you will like it, Christian. Edited May 20, 2017 by cger

Gerrardandrews
Very nice, great looking weathering and base, didn't see a name plate, as not every one knows this type, think the Russians called them, the flying coffin 😉

cger
thanks to all for the kind comments . Indeed the russian pilots jokingly referred to Lagg as 'lacquered coffin', for its poor performance. After being fitted with a radial engine, the airframe gave birth to the La-5, which was much better. regards, Christian.
