Aardvark
Hi, all! In the process of building of model Supermarine Attacker 1/72 from AZ model http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic.php?t=69517&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 within group building "Wings of the British Empire-2" http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewforum_f_204.html there was a question about the tire Attacker. Was the hypothesis reinforced by a photo that the main tire Attaker and Vampire are identical is stated: Whether someone can confirm this hypothesis data on the sizes of tire Attacker and Vampire from technical documentation on these airplanes? Possibly someone has samplings of buses of these airplanes? What will it give to modellers? If the hypothesis is correct, then for Attacker it is possible to use aftermarket tires from Pavla for Vampire: B.R. Serge
Jure Miljevic
Hello, Serge I have no manuals handy, but they look like late production Vampire wheels to me, too. There were probably several standard types of wheels available and aircraft of similar purpose and of about the same maximum take-off weight shared the same. There is hardly any point in designing and producing an unique type of wheels for each aircraft. The same could be said for models, too. For my Heron kit build I raided my stash of kits and spare boxes and scavenged them for wheels. I found practically identical ones in an old Heller Vampire box. Cheers Jure

NAVY870
Looking at various photos of Yeoviltons aircraft the markings on the main wheel appear to be either 22x 7.25 -14 or 24 x 7.25-14 So I would answer your question in the negative.
