masterqq
First , Planning on area to be cut for the replacement shoulder And cut both top and bottom fuselages with ultrasonic cutter. and cut the slats to ease the shoulder assembly, and must as well cut the flaps too while on it, and worry about the reassembly of both of these later.

Sure, better now than later - And welcome aboard. Some nice progress already - not an easy task making the cut-outs for the replacement shoulders. But now you have to tell me what an ultrasonic cutter looks like? Cheers, Peter
Sobby_23
Built this as my quick Christmas build, really enjoyable kit. Looking forward to seeing what it is like with the aftermarket additions.
masterqq
Basilisk, Thanks for the approval, the is the ultrasonic cutter i used from my office, basically this machine generate ultrasonic vibration to the blade and able to cut through plastic like butter. make easy to cut some odd profile. Sobby 23, An enjoyable kit indeed.. thanks.
Basilisk
Thanks for the picture of the Sonofile ultrasonic cutter. Looks like a very interesting gadget to have, but unfortunately a bit pricey for hobby use But there are other brand specially for the hobby market which are more fordable - have to read up on it Cheers, Peter
masterqq
HI, Joined the 2 fuselage half, pained the tub, and super glued the new shoulders and nose, the fitting of the resin shoulders are not bad, some putty needed to bland them in. Also painted the engine area with silver and various shades of clear blue, red, smoke..The TVC cans still need some more work. More later, Cheers...
