Killingholme
Hi all, Hasegawa has released a dedicated etch set for it's recent 1/700 scale kit Mikasa (a lovely kit by the way). I can't seem to find anywhere in the UK that stocks the etch set. Before I order from overseas, can I just check no one here knows of a source in the UK? https://www.scalemates.com/kits/1019149-hasegawa-72159-ijn-battleship-mikasa-detail-up-etching-parts cheers! Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies
There's always Infini Model's set for the Hasegawa kit that includes barrels, wooden deck, stronger brass masts and lycra rigging line too.

Similar to Pontos 1/350 version. That should make an already beautiful ship ever more so, especially on such a small scale.
Killingholme
Oh my! Beautiful as that is I doubt I could manage it- I assume those brass masts are made of a gazillion pieces that need soldering together!?

Soldering is probably recommended as the masts are solid turned brass. And yes, there are, possibly, about a few dozen photo-etch pieces on those masts. Even the rigging is photo-etch.
