paul_c
I'm currently building a Model T fire truck with lots of plated brass parts and some brass pin striping. Is there such a thing as brass bare metal foil that I could use to some of the bad plating? Failing that, a good brass paint that could be used? malpaso
I've certainly used fake gold leaf in school art projects, very shiny and cheap. Compared to gold leaf anyway! I assumed it was either brass or coloured aluminium. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Imitation-Gold-Leaf-140/dp/B004M258ZE There's also silver and brass which could be useful. If it's like the stuff we used it's so thin you can barely see overlaps
Rob G
It might be easier to strip the plating off and repaint with one of the metal effect paints on the market. I'll leave it to others to make recommendations, I've only used a couple of the many brands.
little-cars
I'd go for the AK interactive Xtreme Metal Brass. Great airbrushed onto a good primer coat. http://ak-interactive.com/v2/product/xtreme-metal-brass/ Thanks, Paul
