Aginvicta
I saw this model on Starling Models website and thought it would make a different little project. Novgorod is listed in Antony Preston’s book World’s Worst Warships, and looking at it you can see why, but there are some good theories behind the design and I have not only enjoyed building this strange ship, adding a few extra little details along the way, but also researching the original ship. I used to just build models out of the box, but now I also enjoy tracing the history of the real ship, car, plane etc, brings it more to life. Thanks to everyone that has followed this build, added comments or “likes”, it encourages me to carry on building even when I am not in the mood for modelling. I have a few (several) models that I need to finish and then I'll build a wooden ship for a change. I want to take a break from resin and plastic for a while. Killingholme
I've enjoyed watching this one come together. Maybe you should add a jackstaff on the bow so we know which end is which!! Will
Darby
WTH? It looks like something from a Jules Verne novel. Hats off for doing that one.

Martian Lover of the Weird and Wonderful Thanks everyone. Will, the Propellers are a clue as to which end is which, if you can have a bow or stern on a round ship that is. Darby, this is far too strange to be from a Jules Verne novel, even Captain Nemo would be surprised by it. Invidia, The last time I looked their website was closed down so I'm not sure if they are still producing kits. Martian, I'm waiting to see you build the 1/700 version that you have, Andy
