goggsy
Another old kit that needs no introduction, the Airfix Lightning. One of the original production run but from the tail end of it I suspect as there was a lot of flash and warpage. I used as few of the original decals as possible as they looked well dodgy, fortunately I had some left over from the more recent issue. I also had some left over parts from the recent version and the improvement in quality of moulding and plastic was remarkable; I used as many of the new bits as possible. The undercarriage was missing some key parts so I pinched a stand from elsewhere.

Eric Mc
When you said "Old Airfix Lightning" I assumed you were referring to the 1/72 F1A. Nice build - all the same

Head in the clouds.
Lightnings look best with their gangly legs up and yours looks just the ticket. I still believe you can get good results from old models and you have proved this. Fine work. Gary
bar side
Nice finish on that paint. Looks very good. I couldn't live with the day-glo strips, even though they are prototypical. I left them off and added tail letters BH. Like it on the stand too.
