Boulton Paul were simply designing an aircraft to an Air Ministry specification for a turret armed bomber destroyer to be used by day and night.

As to the builds, they're superb.

They're all fantastic, but I particularly like the prototype.

That's going to be some collection when you've finished.

Many thanks to you and your father for sharing them with us.

264 Sqn developed tactics for use against fighters and others for use against bombers, which worked.  37 victories over France prove that.  However, as more squadrons came on line, they ignored the tried, tested and proven tactics, and tried to use the aircraft as a normal fighter, which proved disasterous....the rest is history!

Crikey, what a collection! Lovely. The second prototype does it for me (a) because of the turret (because, bonkers though it is, that was the whole point of the plane) and (b) the contrast in NMF around the upgraded engine front end. Superb!

I always enjoy seeing your father's builds, Santiago. I particularly like the the second model, the differentiation between the engine cowling and the rest of airframe is really splendid.

Thanks for sharing and I look forward to the next 14.
