Whiffer Oxford Blue Balliol

I would like to do a BP Balliol in blue as a what-if Admiral's barge.  Even better if someone has beat me to it!

Any evidence of any Balliol in civil or military overall blue?

Always thought admirals barges were green!  Willing to be contradicted on this!

Several were blue, for example the Hunters

You can see pictures of the 'barges in Oxford Blue or Green (Emerald?), my understanding is that the colours used may have been related to a tradition with the actual boaty barges, green for Commanders-in-Chief, and dark blue for other Flag Officers.

You can see examples of Vampire T.22s in blue, or green.

1. Not that I'm aware of

2. If it's a what-if, why do you need evidence?

 

Good idea though, the factory demonstrator, G-ANSF, was a good looking machine in its dark red paint and either blue or green would both be nice.

For some whiffers, evidence can prove useful when convincing skeptics that said proposed colour scheme has some validity. A lie is more convincing when surrounded by truth.

 

I did an Admirals Barge Seafire 46

 

 

I know it was a Tamiya colour, but can't remember the number.  The back spinner is Xtracolour Oxford Blue.

There was a nice Dark Blue (or Black?) and silver Seafire XV;
