Hi all,

This is my completed Tamiya 1/72 Bf 109 E-3.

Build Summary

The purpose of the build was to get my Mojo back. So I built it fast, and how I felt, painted it with Humbrol enamels and did the panel lines with a Copic Multi liner marker. I could have taken more time detailing it but didnt really want to. In the end the goal was achieved, feels good to complete a kit in a while.

Build thread is here:

"This machine will never make a fighter!"- Ernst Udet

Build thread is here.

Here is the MPM 1/72 kit of the Bf109V1, the first prototype.

Udet is reported to have said the above words on first seeing the Bf109V1, although he changed his mind when he flew it!

The Revell 1/32nd kit built mainly OOB except for AlleyCat prop, spinner and control surfaces:

This particular aircraft was a "Mosquito-hunter", the latter used in a Bomber support role hunting the hunters.  "Red 6" had most of its camouflage paint sanded away in an attempt to find as much speed as possible in order to get somewhere near the fast Mossies.  Oblt Gabler survived the war, gaining 4 night victories and 11 day.
