Kingsman
Just caught a clip on the episode of World At War about the start of Barbarossa. 2 lines of 10 or so cheerful German soldiers on pushbikes being towed along by holding on to ropes attached behind a 4-wheel full trailer. But the trailer was being towed by a CMP 30cwt or 3-ton truck, CMP 11 cab. I knew that many ex-British vehicles abandoned in France found their way East in German service but how did a CMP end up in Russia? It can surely only have been captured in N Africa: BEF didn't have them and aid to Russia hadn't started - and I don't believe they got any CMPs anyway. Of course the exact date and location of the clip is uncertain. It certainly had the character of the early advance into Russia.
