Andy Moore
A bit of light relief between other projects in the form of Meng's two new cartoon tanks, based on the first person shooter game 'World War Toons'. Given the style and cheap price, they've actually got some good detailing. These are essentially straight from the box builds, although I added a 1/48 brass barrel from RB to replace the bow MG on the Sherman. 8 out of 10 cats approve these new Meng kits Thanks for looking Andy
Fatboydim
Hi Andy, a great looking pair of tanks. I like the photo of your cat looking at the Tiger. Joe

ScanmanDan
Super-Duper and out of sight! Love these little critters out of all proportion to their size and cost. Your wonderful painting and construction make them a joy to see. I need to find time to have a bash at these too. I just wish they'd stretched the hull of the Sherman just a bit, but hey, that's what plastic card and putty are for . These kits are so cheap and, well fun they encourage bashing and morphing them into the weird and exotic. I've already seen a recovery bash of the Sherman, a neat bit of bashing to be sure. Did you do the damage to the Tiger? And do you have any more of these cartoon critters in the works? Always fantastic to see your latest efforts, thanks so much for brightening my day. PlaStix
Great job Andy! They look excellent. I picked up these two kits last week in a model shop in Brum and now, having seen yours, can't wait to make them! Very well done. Kind regards, Stix

Thanks Dan, Meng have moulded the Tiger's fenders with a few dents in place, but I added a few more for good measure. It was mainly a case of thinning down the parts by scraping the underside, then bending them with a pair of tweezers (and in one case, my teeth ). The dents in the rear bin and exhaust shrouds were done by gently heating the parts over a tea light to soften the plastic, then pushing a knife handle in to make the dents. Meng have announced a Porsche turret King Tiger and a KV-2 in the same line, so I'll be doing them when they're released. 2 hours ago, Arachnid said: We need more of these,I have built most of the egg planes and my G/F thinks they're cute and says she'll buy me all of the tanks to go with 'em lol Totally agree. We definitely need more. Meng are supposed to be releasing at least one ship model too, although I don't know when it's due out Personally I'd like to see some Star Wars ships done like this. Billydick
Brill .. all you need now are some equally whacky tank commanders to go in the turret cupolas BillyD
