Heller Hellcat 1/72

Recommended Posts

I am not a fan of Heller kits, but this was bought by SHMBO for my birthday,so I decided to give it a bash. All paints were acrylic and were slapped on by hairy stick. The model loved the filler but I had fun doing it,this is a hobby after all.

I need to to do a shake and bake kit now as I have run out of filler.:P

Hi Celt!!!

Wonderful build and nice ended kit. I have one to be re-glued after an accident prior to be painted, and will try to  improve her and add something not so complicated. Without a doubt SHMBO knew you need this build and Thought good!!!

Thank you very much for sharing and inspiring a build My Friend!!!.

Cheers,

Very nice Hellcat in less-common markings. There's been quite a run of Hellcats in RFI lately!

Regards,

David

Thank you, there has been a few Hellcats lately.

Hi Celt,

great looking Hellcat! And French to boot! Don't you dare chuck it!!!

One thing I will say though: It looks like Heller have stuffed up the wing tips, as they do look rather iffy. First time I have laid eyes on a Heller Hellcat, and beside this small detail, it looks the part.

Top painting and well done!

Always liked Hellcats and yours is very, very nice.

Being a Heller kit, "idiosyncratic" comes to mind, but you seem to have dealt with any buildability issues perfectly.

:goodjob:
