chris148
Good afternoon everyone, below are some photo's of the latest finished build. It was a beautiful morning so I decided to go for some outside shots. The kit is an old 1980's monogram 1/48 catalina which I picked up off ebay from the states. The kit was ok to build, little bit of filler here and there but generally ok.The big downside being the flimsiest wheels/undercarriage for a big plane you will come across. The kit was built totally out of the box and as usual all brush painted with standard humbrol enamels. All comments positive or negative greatly received.
Gorby
It looks excellent Chris. That will take up quite a bit a storage space.

janneman36
Sorry to say this isn't a 80s kit , it came out in 1995.. But nevertheless a cracking built, well done

tausugAir
Chris, If you didn't say I would believe the finish was airbrushed! What an excellent hand brushing work!!.. Like it a lot . . . I once had the Monogram Pro Modeler Black Cat in 48th but traded it off with the smaller 72nd scale from Academy due to space issue . . . Best regards.. Mike wingspan is about 60 to 70 cm which fits snuggly in one of my display cabinets with a bit of manouvering
