Plumbum
I am interested in another armor project. I built the old Tamiya 1/35 Panther Ausf A, their Tiger 1 and Walker Bulldog. Recently I did a Dragon T34 with the smart tracks and last year I did the Dragon King Tiger in the orange box in the Octopus scheme. I have always had a soft spot for the Panther V and want to build an Ausf G from the Ardennes offensive. Whats the better kit in 1/35 and where do I find color schemes for the Ardennes offensive in the winter of 1944-45? Thanks.---John
JackG
It has been decades since I've built a Panther, and I've yet to build one in 1/35 scale. From what I can find on the net, I'd suggest Dragon's smart kit no. 6370 http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/dragon/dr6370.html For colour scheme, see the linked decal set - be good idea to add to the shopping list if you want historical markings for the Ardennes: - edit, the first decal scheme from the kit is a valid participent from Ardennes time frame http://www.network54.com/Forum/477322/message/1178101011/Kit%2C+DML+6370%2C+Sd.Kfz.171+Panther+G+w-Steel+Road+Wheels+Smart+Kit ... another painting option, or you can buy actual paint masks - J's Work regards, Jack Edited April 26, 2017 by JackG
