One of the things they keep saying on their "introduce yourself" page, is that there are no restrictive rules on that site, so it got me thinking. Does that mean that it's ok to make sexist comments, racialist comments, anti religious comments, use outright profanities, refer to any female member as a fat old slapper, or (heaven forbid), encourage people to go and fight in the Middle East. Because if it's not ok...............then you've got rules, and no doubt they would be enforced, otherwise they are laying themselves open to litigation. While reading through some of the childish drivel on there, several times someone would say that the best way to deal with BM Mods, was to ignore them and say nothing. This would then be followed by a new tirade. They seem very sad and totally unable to move on. One sub 25 on there reckons that BM has spies on their site. I think it might have been the same genius who them stated that he was still a member on BM, just so that he could keep an eye on what was being said. The sad thing for me personally, was that when I looked on the site, I recognised one member who had apparently been banned from this site. I was unaware that he was even a member here, but it did take place before I joined. We used to be in the same IPMS branch. Hopefully, one day, common sense will prevail and we can all get on with what both of these sites should be about, and that's building models, and not attacking the Billy Goats Gruff, just because they are walking over the rickety rackety bridge. Coincidentally, after reading Mikes missive on the DDOS attacks that pops up on every thread, I wandered over to t'uther place to see what was being said, Yeeuucch! & very much saddened to see some of who were saying it, members ex here I had respected. I like it here, it may not be perfect but it works for me, its an interesting place, constantly evolving but this is an evolution that is somewhat disquieting & I'll be pleased if it would just go away. I guess I've been a bit shocked as I'm not a great follower of chat & what I term opinion threads, mainly I haven't the time, but do please hang in there Mike, as was said above, there're a helluva lot more are happy here than not. It's annoying me intensely that I'm having to waste time on it, as well as the pointless and spiteful DDoS attacks that seem to be almost constant since I went public.
