New 1/144 Bandai Star Wars AT-AT

11-4-17 - Hi - Has anyone had their back-ordered Bandai AT-AT delivered yet please - any chance of some shots from within the box if you have. Mines still a few weeks away from arrival from Japan and I am keen to see what my £45 got me.

12-4-17 - BINGO - The postman is my best friend today. Yep - Mine has just turned up and its not bad for £45.

This is the first Bandai Kit I have got my hands on so I was unaware of what to expect but having had a nose around, this new model rather takes me back to the eighties when I used to buy a lot of the old LS weaponry models - the instructions and illustrations being very similar with the CLICK and CHECK notifications etc.

The kit is SMALL in 1/144 compared to Revels generous 1/53 AT-AT but Bandai have engineered a real beauty here and there is a lot of plastic of very good quality in the box. The limb movement and pose engineering looks good and even the AT-AT's little toes are made to dangle or lift for the uneven surface. This new kit is definitely going to give birth to a whole new era of Hoth dioramas.

If my vote is worth anything, I recommend it - £45 may sound a lot but what you get looks definitely worth every bead of plastic that went into the moulds.
