falcon
Calling these two finished. Both are the Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk.IXc, and are both out of the box. Enjoy.

Beard
Both of them look good, although I prefer the French one (it's the combination of Dark Earth/ Middle Stone over Azure Blue and French roundels). One minor point, by the time the MkIX was introduced the radios were VHF so didn't have an aerial running to the top of the fin. Here's a good reference to Spitfire aerials: http://spitfiresite.com/2010/04/spitfire-masts-and-aerials.html/2 Edited April 10, 2017 by Beard to correct the spelling go 'blue'.

Spitfire31
Excellent looking Spitfires! Minor gotcha: they wouldn't have been sporting aerial wires. From the Mk V on, Spits hade VHF radio sets with the antenna integral to the aerial post. ;-) Classy job! Kind regards, Joachim
