Info on blocking sigs & some threads.

Re blocking sigs, I had this in my settings for ages but then realised I was missing some info about posters such as website addresses so I re-enabled sigs. Lately I've tried to block some more obtrusive sigs but even though it appears I should be able to, I get a message that tells me I am unable to. Any special reason for this? I've gone back to blocking all sigs in the meantime.

Re blocking threads. Of late a series of threads of non modelling persuasion has managed to irritate the bejesus out of me, yes I know I can just ignore them & I do but if I could block them from my View New Content stream, it would be preferable to me, is there any way I can do this?
