Certainly some S51 variants had the three rear seats and SAR winch.

Are there any plans for add-ons, such as the external stretcher cases, or even the bonkers side bulges for three stretchers of the H-5H?

What a shame this kit is 1/48. Strictly personal point of view, been hoping for a 1/72 version since I decided that nothing could be done with the Mach kit due to the irredeemable canopies.

Whirlybirds were/are manufacturing a resin 72  S-51 to go with thier HR3/5 Dragonfly.

 Homebee do your homework.

The  Whirlybirds HR3/5 is not resin. The proposed S-51 maybe.

1/72nd... Not my scale.

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/1016515-whirlybird-models-wpx72040vr-westland-dragonfly-hr-3-royal-navy

On the Net, the WhirlyBird kits are not really documented. And the company homepage is how to say... Uninformative.

Here: it's said resin + vacuformed plastic + etched brass etc.

Reported cast by CMR in the Czech Republic.

Otherwise, in 1/72nd, you still have the "little world of horror" Dragonfly model, I mean the Mach2 kit: link

The Whirlybirds HR3/5 has it’s origins in the Britavia/Aiways Vac kit. Whirlybirds over the years have added to it and significantly improved it, not that it was a bad kit in the first place, it’s an accurate and nice Dragonfly. However, the Mach 2 kit is neither a S-51 or a Dragonfly.
