Welkin
An alternative is to: 1. Get hold of a Classic Airframes 1:48 Meteor NF.11/13 kit. 2. Source an AlleyCat NF.12 replacement tail. 3. See if John Aero (Aeroclub) has any of the vacuform canopies that he made for his multimedia kit still available. On a practical level, it works well! Finding all the above components - that may well be another matter!
Wez
Didn't Alley Cat mention the possibility of an NF conversion for the Airfix 1/48th kit recently? I guess it depends upon how well their F.4 & T.7 conversions sell. Don't know which versions Ali may be planning.
Don McIntyre
I keep hoping that Airfix will do an NF.14.
JohnT
It is perhaps not wholly beyond the realms of possibility that Paul Fisher may do a 1/32 nightfighter conversion. Now that would be a beauty.
Julien
Well it looks like there maybe hope for one to come in 1.48 or 1.32 Julien.

Now that would be a beauty. Paul's most of the way there - he's already done the two-seat fuselage for the T.7 (OK, the rear cockpit would need changing for an NF variant), and his F.8 tail would only need a tad of extra work for an NF.14. Then there's the NF.11 and NF.12 ...
xvtonker
Can't say too much at this time, but there may be some news coming out of AIM72 in the not too distant future regarding a full suite of night fighters in 1/48 scale. XVTonker

Warwolf
Just to round this topic off, in early 2020, Sword brought out a decent 1:48 Meteor NF.14. As of writing this though, there is no after market accessories or decals for said kit.

Yes, apart from the masks. I've got the kit and having looked at it, the details are okay but really not the best. No cockpit decals at all though which through that canopy will be obvious. No decal sheets either which is slightly disappointing. Although, having looked through Britmodeller a bit, someone is working on a sheet for release something in Q3 or Q4 this year!
