Ripaman Posted March 28, 2017 Share Posted March 28, 2017 Have been working on four parts for a diorama which will include a Hawker Typhoon, Matador 0854 with Cole Crane Mk V11, a Willys Jeep and a Accumulator, this will be shown with the Typhoon engine hanging from the crane hook, being just replaced with a new one, I hope I can catch the moment. Have bought all the aftermarket stuff I think everyone knows what is out there. First picture is what I want to capture, photo is for reference only. The cockpit did turn out not to bad Christer, on the right side added the windscreen de-icing pump and needle valve, levers for drop tank jettison, engine starter reloading control, drop tank cock control. Kind regards, Stix Glad you could join the fun Stix hope this will be the third piece I will finish no pressure Will be adding a few wires here and there, bought the Typhoon maintenance manual from Mach One Manuals and in the manual it had so great detail of the Pneumatic system so I started by adding the air hose, filter to the air container behind the seat, will be cutting the panel which goes to the radio's so you can see this Then started on the engine by using some flex hose to replace the plastic part Until next time Regards Richard 14 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Because I am going to have the engine hanging from the crane I needed to cut the back end of the engine mount so that I could glue the carburetor to the engine and be able to get it in and out Then filled the cross which they had in the fire wall Then added the ducting from Radiator used a bit of aluminum off a wine bottle to hide the splice Until next time Regards Richard 13 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Did look at a lot of engine pictures to see what the hoses would look like, as you say it does look way better than the plastic, got to go and find your build now, did you do a WIP. Now making panels that would have been something to do but not for this project, but I do have two more Typhoons in the stash I do have all these parts to use up I bought the Eduard BIG box for the Typhoon so here are the guns One thing you will have to do is cut more out of the bottom slot so that it will fit right Also I bought the 20 mm Master barrels which are the same ones which go in the Mossi so I decided to match up to the Eduard set, had to make a shape out of brass to fit into the eduard part This is how it turned out Pic with the Airfix gun by the side Until next time, and thanks to everyone who is looking in Regards Richard 10 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
