Pete in Lincs
Here's another use for P-38 parts.... For those who don't know, this is a scratchbuilt variation on the Maschinen kreiger Falke. One of a collection of Sci fi models set in a war 800 years in the future. I'm currently building another in 1/32nd scale. The one above is 1/48th.

See Then some Douzek Wheel und Foilà ! In between the engines pods, that will be another kind of game ! Some painting again and addind a missing box on the Monogram More to come tomorrow. corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Spad and ViK, Here are some news I tried some useful comparisons on the TS's way A flap is missing on the Monogram underside, BUT, must check if the flap is present on any versions .. Seem fine to me, I will not waste any time to see who is right on the tail dimension since it is less than a millimeter I will (not at all but it will be better) close the UC bays on the boom, in doing so, I start the Academy ones Here's a bug, may be the mistake is on the Eduard instructions but do not follow the number of the parts. Luckilly, parts are paired so if you did'nt choose the good one, there will be gaps, can't resist "Mind the gap"
corsaircorp
So I'm back, The Monogram interior has no trim Wheel, so I added one, a little bit too big but, it was at hand. So I drilled the center of the box Put a little bit of plastic rod in the hole and making it standing proud just a bit (this content some easy way for misunderstanding) Und Foilà Still some painting and weathering and I close the 2 cockpits... See you later aligator... Have a nice modelling day. Sincerely. Corsaircorp

corsaircorp
Hello Dears I get a problem, where are going those booms !!! Nope must be a mistake or too much of a Chimay.... That Lightning has been a nightmare, putty every place Raaaah I've worked on 3 Lightning today.... Even the missiles need to be puttied May be did I get a bad box, but fuselages were wrapped, wings too, but I think that I can get Something good from this one. I told you about the coolers in the boom, here's a try... A piece of plasticard, again my good ol' mosquito screen and that's it Will look better than the sideral void that existed before (see above) Okay Gents, it was a good evening of modelling. See you tomorrow. Sincerely. Corsaircorp
corsaircorp
Soooo, here we go again, look there is Something different on my kitchen table... I drink an amber beer... Yes, it scarcely happen, but it's a blond with an attitude, triple Westmaele, once again a strong trappist beer, I've worked on my P-47, A1-H, Fw 190D, P-51A and my US Lightnings No, it's not an antenna, Monogram add this to avoid having a tailsitter , nice is'nt'it ?? whatever, it's pretty realistic, change from the usual 200l drumused by some modellers... That look better than this Now, making and studying the Wheel well bulkhead, Okay Gents, no modelling tomorrow, Mrs CC give a conference and I must help her. So I wish you an Happy Easter, You will find a brand new kit on your table tomorrow at least.... Don't you forget to thank Easter bunny in that case. Sincerely. Victory-is-in-the-Kitchen
You have been a busy lad. That is unique way to solve a tail sitters problems! After the fun I had with the PVA, lead weights and cockpit debacle I may have left them on if they were supplied on the Academy kit! Some great progress on both the cockpit and the booms; I do love those rivets on the kit. Enjoy Easter and make sure you keep the boss happy

corsaircorp
Hello Spad, It's my way to cope with procrastination, aka, Haw ! must make this but I'm bored about it Yup will make this sanding before, Ha yes, will glue this in between... And the best of it, so I must paint it russet, this too and again this...open the can once for 3 models. That way of making thing has an inconvenience... aka, where the hell did I put this seat?? A way to find back that tiny part from a Me109 made anew although it was in the Ki 61's box. That's my way to do, not the best one for sure since productivity is not assured, but pleasure is the matter here, so I satisfy myself in doing so Will go check your now ! Happy easter ! And I found this The bazooka are afixed on the sides of the nacelle and not Under the wings, very unusual and ... very tempting did the 44th use the type is still a question... Sincerely. Pete in Lincs
I've never seen them mounted there before. It may be worth going to hyperscale.com and asking the guys there. If they don't know about it then no one does.

Yup, will try, 479th I think, will check, they also put 4 of that thing !! 2 underwings and two on the nacelle, must be a lot of smoke behind when activated ! Aaaand lots of schrapnels for the grunts ! But don't Worth a good old Typhoon firing the 8 rockets, I remember in Duxford in the '90, I was in the press pen on the other side of the runmay, Hugh and Charlie were passing by and stopped to talk a lot as they were going for mustangs !! Hugh told that he got a tiny surprise for us, he was leading a 5 ponies formation. They took us as their target for a mock up Attack, Lord even when you know that they will not shoot at you, you've got goose bump at least. Just wondering how much it should have been a distatefull experience for the men on the ground Sincerely. Corsaircorp

corsaircorp
Hello dears, Cool modelling evening, siiiiiiiping my trappist beer, Hi Spad ! think about you and listening metal music in modelling ! I hear that, enjoy ... https://choualbox.com/KLGoC I discover the band and really liked it... I've worked a bit on my Gabelschwanzeteufel I put some "lead " because I don't want a tailsitter and the monogram is prone to do so. Aaaaand Tatzam ! Seem to work on the good way, I will now improve the booms I choose to put some weight on the boom too since I add some plastic, radiator, bulkhead and so. Look which will come soon to the RFI. Easy to know who drive the beast.. Ok, more on monday after my work day, yes Sir, I'm working on the labor day, 200% income, look good Have a very nice week end, I will be in Nancy (France) for a conference (Helping SWMBO) Sincerely.
