ProfSparks
Hi All As my airbrush experiments have had a brief setback, I thought I'd try something not Dark Earth and Dark Green. 99p in a charity shop, and a set of old oil paints for not much more, looks like Fate is suggesting a wood finish. Nothing to see here (If you've issues with Cockpit Green in there, you'd best look away now, you're not going to like where this is going...) Struts given a coat of Desert Yellow, then Burnt Sienna 'scraped' on with a stiff bristle brush and left to dry overnight. Thin wire threaded through and superglued in and of course I've rubbed the Sienna off with my sausage fingers. So it's varnish AFTER the oils, BEFORE the rigging. If only I had an airbrush Will put on another layer of Sienna and leave them alone, possibly until I finish what I was doing before. Comments and hand wipes welcome Cheers Steve Edited March 24, 2017 by ProfSparks
ProfSparks
Hi All Got some colour on this one, but as the instructions are in monochrome (and my newly acquired paints colours are more suited to Games Workshop than WW1), here's some progress in B&W Assembly and rigging await! Comments and colouring in welcome Cheers Steve Edited April 13, 2017 by ProfSparks
ProfSparks
Hi All Had a bit play with some wire I found, just curious (and back in colour too) and finished Cheers Steve
Brandy
Not the easiest aircraft to rig, well done for giving it a shot. It's turned out nicely! Ian
pheonix
Totally agree with Limeypilot: that is an old kit but you have made a good job of this. P
