Ongoing DDoS Attack causing Forum Slowness   26/04/17

In case you have missed the announcement, the reason that the forum has been slow at times since the minor version update the other day is due to a Denial of Service attack, brute force attack on our email, and judging by the lag with our FTP response, that too.  If you're feeling like you're experiencing a glitch in the Matrix, you're not wrong.  This is the same MO as the attack in September 2016 that occurred when we transitioned to the new version 4 of the software.  We're currently working with US and UK cyber-crime departments, who specialise in this sort of thing, and we're hopeful that we'll be able to track them down this time by using the accumulated evidence already held.    We are pretty certain that it's a continuation of the same attack last year, only at a reduced intensity to deter people from using the site "because it's terribly slow", rather than taking it down completely, and we're also sure of the motivations of those responsible.  Spite.   Please bear with us in the interim, and wish us luck in dealing with these.... "people".

A New Lease of Life for a Tamiya Cromwell

If you've followed this in WIP, then you'll be aware of the background to this build/upgrade, but if you haven't then briefly, I originally built this Tamiya Cromwell around 11-12 years ago as a first 1/35th build. A couple of years ago, I revisited the build and stripped it down as far as I could and then rebuilt it as a later model Mk.lVf.

So this was the starting point..............

.................and this is what I ended up with.

BTW. Sorry about the 1/1 scale cobwebs!!

Well, I would have left well alone with the excellent original but the rework is even better.  Especially like the realistic treatment of the pots and pans.  Crew figures really good as well - both before and after.

Many thanks. The trouble with the Tamiya figure in the first photo is that he is under scale all round, so you can't even just say that he's a short a*se!!

Many thanks to both of you. My old models either end up as spare parts for another project, or as in this case, being rebuilt and hopefully improved.

Thanks Sinhow. Recycling of models is a good way to go. I hope to see some more of yours on here.

Outstanding build love all the little details such as the pots and pans and gear stowed around the tank.
