goon
Hi all, This is the Eduard 1/48 Mirage 2000D, over two years in the making after a prolonged stay on the Shelf of Shame. I was a long way in to the kit, when I tried to be too clever in straightening the warped forward fuselage, resulting in writing off both parts of the fuselage. Eduard had none left, and Heller couldn't supply any either. After spending a small fortune on extras I didn't really want to fork out some of the over priced examples on Ebay, so I was very relieved to buy a part started Airfix boxing for only a fiver. This was lucky as the Eduard wings and fin were warped as well, so the kit is proper 'mash up' of two boxings. I've also added the Renaissance Mirage 2000 enhancement set, NeoMega cockpit, and umpteen L'Arsenal weapons, pylons and sensor pod. Thanks for looking, Gareth Edited March 19, 2017 by goon

exdraken
Hard to better this one!! Seems it was fighting you a bit, but end result more than presentable!! : partytime:
Buzby061
She's a beauty, especially considering the tribulations you've had. I keep doing a bit on mine & then putting it back - not inspired. Pete
eclipse
Nice model, the cockpit seems great and the weathering is accurate, especially on the additional fuel tanks!!! However, I think the IFR probe is misplaced... too low, it should be in front of the windshield!

goon
Thanks for the generous comments everyone. You are spot on about the refuelling probe Eclipse. I was rushing at the end and Eduard's instructions aren't clear. I should have checked references, but it was too late! I might have a look at relocating but it's super glued in place, so might be more trouble than it's worth.

Janremco
Great build I like the way you managed to create this beauty after all the described problems. The weathering is spot on compard to the original. Jan Remco
