Dave Fleming
Back in the dim and distant past I recall seeing a photo in a magazine (Air Pictorial I think) of an Irish civillian Bo105 painted as an Army Air Corps Lynx (complete with XZ serial number) for a TV show. Now I can't find the pic, or any reference to it! can anyone help? Thanks dave
tonyot
I remember seeing an Irish Air Corps Allouette III painted up as a British Army Air Corps helicopter for a TV programme or film, never seen a Bo 105 though. Cheers Tony
noelh
Pretty sure it would one of the Irish Helicopters Bo 105s. It would help if you knew which film. I can recall seeing two Irish Air Corps Gazelles painted in British colours for movies and the Alouette III. But not the Bo105. Search Irish Air Pics. There might be something there. Dave Fleming
From memory it was a TV drama. Sure it wasn't a Gazelle or Alouette (although now I'm intrigued by the latter) Time to trawl through the Air Pictorials
Truro Model Builder
Always an interesting topic. One BO105 was painted in USN colours for Never Say Never Again.
Dave Fleming
I was wrong on it being a TV drama, it was the Daniel Day Lewis film 'The Boxer' (EI-BLD was the copter) Now to find the magazine pic!
