Revell Star Destroyer

Recommended Posts

I have finally finished my Revell Star Destroyer. Filled, sanded, re-scribed all "landing gear panels". The subtle shifts of tone on the upper and lower hull are not discernible in the photos unfortunately, but they are there. It was fun to paint and weather and nice to have in the collection.

very nice to see a new ISD. I recommend you visit the Star Wars Identities exhibition up at the O2 - they have one of the original ISD's prop models on display up there and it bloomin GORGEOUS - you can even make out all the tiny bits of Tamiya and Airfix parts they used on the finer detail areas - a Star Wars fans absolute dream of a show.

They were actually a pale ivory white turned grey by ILM's screen magic

Thanks for the images. You are right...definitely stunning. The images I have posted are slightly darker to try and highlight the tonal variation, but it isn't ivory white like the studio model.

Some awesome photos - good work on the rebuild too.  Having seen that same kit flying past me quite often (and reviewed it here), you've done a good job :)
