Modelling: before authentic paints, aftermarket and 'special tools'

3 posts in this topic

I can relate to this guy's model making ways as that is how I started.  No specialist paints, airbrushes or aftermarket parts.  Check out the size of the nozzle on that tube of glue!

In addition to making fine models, Duncan Haws produced a considerable amount of books on ships and I have at least 35 of them in my collection.

Absolutely amazing skills - plus modelling in suit, shirt and tie in a really low uncomfortable chair and a cramped coffee table....

....oh - and no wedding ring....modelling every evening of the year....mmmmmmmm!

What a marvellous man. It just shows what can be achieved with a few basic tools, developed skills and a real passion for your subject(s).
