Eastern Front...1/48 Messerschmitt Bf109F-4 Royal Hungarian Airforce

Recommended Posts

#5/2017

After some pause, finally my dad´s newest 109.

Used the great Eduard kit with HAD decals (the Hungarian crosses on the F-4 sheet were too large so my dad used some of another HAD sheet), Gunze and Tamiya acrylics, EZ Line for wiring, plastic rods and lead wire for brake lines.

The model shows an aircraft of 5/2. vadaszszazad, Stariy Oskol airfield, Russia in January 1943.

Hello Reini,

What a very nice job, and I like the family album shot.

Finely done on these.

Really nicely done as always Reini, I bet you`ve got more 109`s than I have Vietnam birds

thanks Russ, as always ;)

I guess it´s about the same amount, ~60-70

from time to time my dad sorts out the oldest not so good built 109s, so the number varies

Hello, that is a beautiful kit - the finish is perfect. The fade on the top wing camouflage is very subtle.  Thank you for posting.

Nice little 109, I quite fancy doing the same or similar scheme soon, as the decals are in Eduard Royal class box option.

Ali

thanks! looking forward to yours ;)

the Hungarian markings, especially the tail are a nice diversion from the usual Luftwaffe schemes
