Paul J
Not many tonight. I only took a few on that day and these are all I can find. Sea King XV664 / 142 TG on HMS Tiger SeaKing XV712 / 273. Doing a anti sub demo. Note the colour change... due to me messing about trying to make it look better. But a lovely looking unit emblem!!! Wessex XM838 / 405 And a ship... A76 Is this an RFA vessel? Ship fans here will surely help in identifying this for us all. Cheers. By the way, of my hundreds of slides scanned, which ones would anyone like to see next from the list below: Mildenhall shows Mildenhall non show days that include Lakenheath, Alconbury Upper Heyford Heathrow various dates Northolt Gatwick Shoreham show and non show. Redhill and other small civil airfileds Paris shows Hannover show 1976. Greenham shows: HUnter Meet, Herk meet DH meet at Newbury Festival Hurn Yeovilton Biggin shows and non show visits.
Beefy
Paul you're right about A76 being an RFA vessel, she was RFA Tidepool (A76) and was a Tide class replenishment oiler of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and her last tour was the Falklands War, she was originally sold to Chile but was reclaimed by the UK government so she could go to war and was finally handed over to the Chilean Navy on 13 August 1982 and renamed Almirante Jorge Montt. Jb65rams
Great photos, brings back memories. Being Pompey born and bred, always enjoyed Navy Days, watching the air displays over the harbour.
