sonofjim
Dragon's M48A3 or M48A3 Mod B mate , lighty ears ahead of the ancient Tamiya kit and arguably the most accurate currently available . Bare in mind the Mod B doesn't include the AN/VSS searchlight IIRC . Just my 2P .
Antoine
Tamiya's M48 is still a nice and simple kit. It's been said that the hull and turret are a bit too high... both by about 1mm. Needless to say that you can easily live with it. And yes, you might need a set of metal tracks.
snapper_city
Both the Tamiya and Dragon kits have band tracks. The Dragon kits are miles ahead of the Tamiya one but it is not worth the £50 RRP. As sonofjim says the mod.B doesn't come with the lamp unfortunately. Legend resin do a lamp and mantlet aftermarket. Legend also do resin sets of stowage and sandbag armour to dress up the M48.
