Hi Giorgio

I have posted an ' expert packing guide ' to the Buy and Sell section '

That details my methods and how I pack - I have sold 10 Aircraft Kits all over the world , including Japan and Italy ,  from Scotland

and they have all arrived safe and sound

plus you make a nice profit when you sell a rare Pro-Built Model on ebay ( always say its ' pro-built ' )

you might like this ??

I too had forgotten how detailed the wheel wells are until I saw them again.

Waiting impatiently for Monday now.

John

Thanks John, too bad they are on the underside ...

More progress done last night, the bottom side is now completed. Alas, no pics till Monday, and I think I should be able to complete the whole thing by then. Fingers crosses.

Hi Giorgio,

Nice little touches that can make the difference! Well done!!!

Thanks Massimo, it is nice when you get at this point of a build, adding the final details

Hi everybody, I think I can call the C202 completed :yahoo:

But let's see the last few steps. First off: look, she's on her legs!!

dav

dav

dav

dav

dav

Main wheels ant tail wheel were installed using drops of CA gel to hold them in place and Tamiya Green Cap to secure the bond. The steel rod used to represent the actuator arm were glued in place with a tiny amount of CA gel, bot sides.

dav

Inner side bay doors and their brackets: HASEGAWA has molded a mounting peg on each of said brackets, which doesn't have a corresponding receiving hole in the door

dav

so I did cut the pegs out and glued those bits in place, adding also the yellow pipes overlapping the brackets

dav

The brake lines were then glued to the wheels

dav

dav

dav

Last details; there's a fuel tank vent, port side; here's the kit part along with tits replacement, a segment of brass pipe cut and bent to shape

dav

In place

dav

and brush painted with Italeri Flat Steel

dav

dav

Tail planes: if you squint, you may see I have brush painted two little red arrows (supposedly) used to check the alignment, since they had variable incidence

dav

Pitot tube: I replaced the kit part with a scratch built item, using a prescription needle and a steel rod:

dav

Here it is, compared to the plastic bit

dav

painted

dav

and in place

dav

Canopy opening handles: I sourced two suitable leftovers from a PE fret, glued in place with CA gel and painted accordingly

dav

dav

Then, with the help of some blue tack, I glued the canopy  in position - again, CA gel drops and some Tamiya Green Cap along the joint, applied with a fine brush

dav

dav

dav

Antenna mast

dav

and its wire

dav

which is, as usual for me, one of my daughters' hair :)

Then I just needed to glue in the propeller, and there she is:

I'll post an RFI thread soon-ish, meanwhile all comments welcome

Ciao

Edit: I forgot to mention that work on the C205 (remember this is a double build? :) ) will resume soon. Meanwhile I'll take a short break off this thread and try to complete the bust I started long ago :frantic:

Beautiful! I've really enjoyed this build. As usual a display of excellent modelling with plenty of tips along the way....

I did laugh a litttle at you using your daughter's hair for the wire as I always use my wife's hair!
