Above the Prentice G-AOKH SAAB 91 G-BCFS Belonging to AJW Aviation. Who would have thought that just over 40 years later I would be working for them.... Miles Gemini G-AJTH Another Percival The Provost T.1 G-AWPH. Military arrival HH-53 from Woodbridge. More military in the staic, RNLAF F-27 Troopship, C-7 A bit like the Lightning shot by Ridgerunner elsewhere here, but less meaty, 'WPH displaying. Part of the French contingent. I was quite excited at the time to see not just one but two of these! PA -31 Navajo AeroNavale. The Sea King in the background was XV651/664 witha funny looking nose. I think it was a bit Lynx looking... Part of the Dutch contingent... WH964 Of 98 Squadron I think. Hmmm.... whats that banner to the right advertising... WE113 of 85 Sqdn. XP515 or XP534. Not which of the pair I logged on that damp day. XT434. Ex RAF "Bertie" Basset Hunter F.6 XE582 ( But it might be a 9??) One shot I squeezed at the end of the roll... What I used to love about going tio the September shows was the walk from the civvy side to the military past the runway end by the Bromley road. Also it was before I learnt to rive and I used to get a bus (London Country service 410 from Redhill) with a bunch of pals. It used to struggle going up the hill fro Westerham. I lived in East Grinstead and was a regular at Gatwick 1970 onwards (working there from 1977). I went to every BoB at Biggin from the early 1960s, as my profile picture shows. As you can see, I am still close by. You certainly couldn't miss me at 6'3", even at the age of 12! stever219 Posted February 23, 2017 Share Posted February 23, 2017 WH964 was indeed wearing 98 Squadron markings and XE582 definitely appears to be an FGA. 9 (you can just make out the brake parachute fairing and the port outer pylon's ejector gun fairing). I was lucky enough to be allowed to play with WE113 at Marham a year or two later when on annual camp with the CCF at West Raynham IIRC.
