cathasatail
Hi all! Well wasn't that good?! The SpaceX Falcon 9 with the Dragon cargo capsule launched today at around 2:39 PM our time. It was delayed from yesterday after an engine gimballing actuator gave off-nominal results on a test of the second stage engine just before liftoff. Anyway, today's launch was followed by a cloudy but silky smooth landing at LZ-1. It is also worth noting that this was the first landing of a first stage in the daytime and the first launch since (I think) 2011 from Pad 39A (the same pad that Apollo 11 used, as well as the first and last shuttle launches. Overall, a great day! Kind regards, Sam

Paul Bradley
Very cool. If they can do this successfully a couple of dozen times more, we'll finally be on our way to Mars! Keeping my fingers crossed.
