Blade Runner PKD pistol

This has been inspired by the forthcoming Blade Runner sequel. 

I found the gun itself on eBay and thought it might have alot of potential particularly when you look at the cost of the replicas available online.

the plan is to clean it up and paint it to look like a standard weapon and not the amber handled version Deckard  used - more of a standard service pistol used by officers in general 

 

I have drilled out all the Allen headed screws and have some stainless replacements to insert.

finding the knurled but for the right side might be a bit more challenging.

Have you got reference for your build ?

I've got tons of pictures if you need them ( just got to work out how to send attachments ).

The knob you're looking for was originally off a set of gun sights. You never know one might turn up on ebay or car boot.

I've just used the web

I did find a picture of several on display and one was entirely black including the grip which I think would be much easier to paint. The major difficulty with the movie weapon would be getting a convincing finish on a translucent grip.
