Fishbone
This is a Hobbyboss F-14D Super Tomcat. When the box is opened, one sees the usual high quality Hobby Boss engraved detailing on this one. The upper and lower fuselage sections are segregated behind a cardboard shield to keep damage during shipping at a minimum. Kit has fine engraved surface features, well detailed tandem cockpits, optional swept or extended wings, multi-part canopy, detailed wheel wells and landing gear and your choice of open or closed exhaust nozzles. Also includes external stores: AIM-54 Phoenixes (x4), AIM-7 Sparrows (x2), AIM-9 Sidewinders (x2) and drop tanks. Decals and color painting guide for 3 USN aircraft: BuNo 159630 of VF-2 onboard USS Constellation (low-vis); BuNo 163894 of VF-2 onboard USS Constellation (CAG high-vis) & BuNo 164603 of VF-31 onboard USS Theodore Roosevelt; Includes instrument panel and console markings, stencil data and weapons markings.I'll use the VF-2 CAG scheme, I love planes which fought a lot. Let's do this. Cockpit, the ejection seats are quite awkward, no details. So I decided to add some details onto them. One more benefit for adding weight on nose - you can deny physic like this. Adjust the height of seats, they are way much taller in real world. And then slowly adding details onto those landing gears. That's all for the day, will keep update this thread. Thank you.

I will continue working on this What-if F-14J Kai Samurai Cat after I finish this F-14D. Decals size-proofing before send to print. Will continue after I finish current F-14D.
Fishbone
Hi, some updates. PRIMED. Some new experiments: Ultimate Black - spray randomly including pre-shading on panel lines. Covered with Brown & blue for warm/cold colors. Belly/undercarriage, mostly Ultimate Black, very minor of Brown and Blue. Intake to exhaust. Done drop tanks, Gunze 308 FS36375 + Gunze 1 White. Gunze 9 - Gold, applied onto those exhaust nozzles.
Jackman
I really like the Neko Samurai scheme. How did you create the decals?

Fishbone
Made adjustment and color correction with Tamiya Black accent color, XF-2 Flat White & XF-10 Flat Brown. Coated with Gunze Super Clear III to protect everything and spent around 5 hours for the decal application. It's 90% done, the rest is the one on Ventral Fins which I really forgot to spray Dark Blue.
