phat trev
Hoping some of you may be able to share experiences of building Pegasus limited run biplanes? I am about to start on a 1/72 Gloster Gamecock. (I also have a Merlin 1/72 Jenny to do also which looks a bit of a challenge...)
alex
Well, not by myself... but a member from the other forum I participate did a nice pegasus kit of the LVG C.VI. It's german, but nice images and I'm sure mr. Google can help you translate. http://modellboard.net/index.php?topic=56967.0 Alex
Admiral Puff
A large bottle of a good single malt, especially if you're going to build the two in parallel ...
wyverns4
A good dose of modelling skills. Fit, measure and fiddle twice, (or more...), cut/glue once. Get a good set of plans, if possible and look at using some form of jig, (especially to help align the wings). Plus elbow grease, putty and wet and dry, all in large denominations of quantity, (would suggest AA). Apart from that, enjoy! they are fun. phat trev
I predict it will be satisfying when done! Edited February 18, 2017 by phat trev
Don McIntyre
I don't envy you this project. I built a couple of Pegasus kits back when they first came out. <sigh> I made a complete hash of them. My skills and spares box weren't quite up to the challenge. AWFK10
You might find you get a much better result if you tried one now, though. I thoroughly messed up a Merlin DH9a (and a Pegasus Snipe) in about 1990; after a further 25 years of practice, I built another Ninak and it turned out quite well.
Bpasenelli
I just bought several for a good deal at a show. I plan to try one soon. I hope my skills are up to it.

Killingholme
I've done a couple. I think a decent set of plans are essential. The kit parts will all fit, but you'll need some decent drawings to make sure you're setting the correct angles of the wings etc. It's also worth drilling out the ends of butt-jointed parts and inserting brass rod to make some location 'pins'. It will reinforce things greatly. Will

Britman
They are good for a basic model on which you can produce some very nice results. Good subjects if you don't mind a bit of scratching.
