Slater
Interesting that Switzerland needs heavy airlift capability. upnorth
I'll believe a Czech operated A-400 when I see it. I'm not sure why the Czechs haven't got on board with the NATO airlift wing and their C-17 fleet in Hungary if they wanted heavy lift capability. I'm personally looking forward to the Czechs getting the KC-390. Czech industry is directly connected to it and the CASA C-295 purchase has always been a controversial one here for many reasons. Dave Fleming
Now C17 production has wound down, anyone wanting anything bigger than a C130 has the choice of either the A400M, IL76 or An70 (Until the Chinese one gets online) - for 'Western' countries that pretty much means the A400M has a potential monopoly. It was interesting to note the last Australian Defence Review postulated on a future purchase of additional strategic airlift capability
