DAG058
Very nice Doug. I remember when I was a child be told that the DH.100 was mostly made of wood, it's just didn't seem right a jet being made of medieval materials! They do look amazing though. Good luck with build! Doug Rogers
Made a start today, decided to make this one 'in a state of flying'. So I've extracted the pilot from an Airfix Spitfire F22/24 box and been preparing him for a new career in jet aviation. Glued up the undercarriage covers which fitted surprisingly well, just a smidge of filler to be done on a few places. Painted the cockpit black and dry brushed with white oil paint, not that you're going to see much of it with the pilot in situ. I'll get a few pics up tomorrow. Decided to go with the Grey/Green/Silver scheme. Cheers me ducks...
Col.
Sounds a good plan Doug. I'm looking forward to watching you achieve that.
Doug Rogers
OK, cockpit is painted up and together; Spent a couple of hours painting up the pilot. To find that although he fits in the seat...just, the canopy doesn't close with him in it. So a quick rummage in the spares dept found this; He's a good deal less bulky than the Airfix Spit pilot; So the fuselage is together; Hoping to get a bit more done today.

Doug Rogers
Got this one finished this morning, I know it's not a very accurate kit in terms of shape but it's a lovely sleek aeroplane. More in the gallery.
